Dear friend of the GNF,

strange weeks lie behind us. The corona pandemic continues to show us that little things may have a huge impact. This also applies to pollinating insects, which do their work diligently without receiving much attention.

Nevertheless, intact and attractive habitats for bees, butterflies and co. have long since ceased to be self-evident. We have it all in our own hands to contribute to their well-being: In our own garden, on the balcony or even on company premises that can be colorful and lively.

Many thanks, enjoy reading and: stay healthy!

Insect Protection – Everyone can do something

Not only on 20 May – World Bee Day – the industrious insects should be in the focus of our interest. After all, pollinating insects are active all year round and thus secure a large part of our food supply. Tips for insect-friendly gardening can be found on our website so that biological diversity continues to have a chance.

The guide helps managers to understand and assess areas of action that are relevant to insect protection and should be covered by a standard or label.

Industrial Parks – colorful and lively

Within the framework of our project "Green instead of Grey – Industrial Parks in Transition", the focus is on the topic of green and urban areas. Numerous measures show their positive effect on flora and fauna, buzzing insects and native plants feel quite comfortable even between industrial buildings.
