Ideas for more "Nature without Barriers”

online presentation of the project results

When?  Wednesday, 5 May 2021, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Where? Online via Zoom

To the Project Webpage Nature without Barriers ...

On the 5th of May 2021 is the European Protest Day for Equality of People with Disabilities. On this occasion, we would like to present the results of our project to all interested parties and invite you to our online event. Nature experience for people with disabilities and tourism for all is an important issue in the EU. National parks, nature reserves and other places offering nature experience are starting to implement barrier free offers. However, there is often a lack of guidelines to assess the conditions on the ground and to enable decision-makers to start implementing relevant changes. Within the framework of our project, we have developed manuals answering two important questions:

  1. How can environmental educators improve their offer of guided nature experiences for people with disabilities?
  2. How to prepare and/or modify nature trails for self-determined use?

Get inspired by new ideas, find like-minded people and share your knowledge: for more Nature without Barriers. We will send the programme and the Zoom access link to all registered participants shortly.

We will start with an international exchange (in English) from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Experts from Germany, Poland and Austria will present their experiences and several best practices. From 2:15 p.m. we will present concrete ideas and tips from the project "Nature without Barriers" in German.

We look forward to seeing you!
