GNF - Natural Capital in the Hospitality Industry

Natural Capital in the Hospitality Industry

Natural capital assessments are becoming more and more important worldwide. German companies are still rather cautious on this topic in an international comparison. There are several reasons for this, which the Global Nature Fund (GNF) was able to identify within the project "Network Natural Capital Accounting" from numerous communication with companies of various sizes and industries.

Goal:

The project aims to promote the application of natural capital valuations in the hospitality industry. Natural capital valuations help companies to identify dependencies and effects of or on natural capital. Data and methods are required to carry out natural capital valuations. The project will facilitate access to these data and methods. Guides and workshops will be used to teach companies how to use the data and methods.

Target groups:

  • Companies in the hospitality industry
  • Consumer
  • Umbrella organizations
  • Other stakeholders in the hospitality industry
  • Existing projects and initiatives
