The Board of Directors

 

The board of directors of the Global Nature Fund is made up of between three and seven people as stated in the charter. The committee is voted by the board of directors of the Environmental Action Germany (Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V.) for a period of four years. The board of directors manages the foundation according to the requirements set out in the charter and is liable to a precise and economical handling of the foundation assets and other funds.

Jörg Dürr-Pucher works in the field of renewable energies as the executive director of CLEAN ENERGY and is engaged in nature and the environment for decades now.

Andrew Venter is the Manager of the Wildlands Conservation Trust in South Africa.

Sebastian Winkler is currently an independent consultant working part-time as Director for Europe for the Global Footprint Network and he also advises the potentially largest gold mine in Europe on sustainability matters. Besides that he is currently a Board Member of Internews Europe and of the European Business and Biodiversity Campaign.
 

The board of directors‘s decades of experience in international environmental protection and nature conservation, as well as in other environmental issues, is of great assistance to the work of the Global Nature Fund.
