Global Nature Fund – Newsletter
We are pleased to send you today the first digital edition of the GNF Newsletter. Millions of people worldwide still have no access to clean water, even though the United Nations General Assembly (UN) explicitly recognized the human right to water and sanitation in 2010. In many regions of the world, the supply of clean water is still a daily struggle. This makes it all the more important for us to implement projects that meet this challenge. The 15th Living Lakes Conference, taking place from 7th to 9th May in Valencia, Spain, will also address this issue.

Dear readers,
Our approach in the Jordan Valley is to use scarce water resources sustainably, treat water locally and implement decentralised solutions. Together with our partners EcoPeace Middle East, we are building a green filter and improving the functioning of the old sewage treatment plant in Tal Al-Mantah. Support our project activities with your donation. © Fundación Humedales / Global Nature Fund (GNF) Drinking water in rural regions in Colombia
The two Colombian municipalities of Bocas del Carare and Isla Renacer have no central drinking water supply. In order to ensure the basic supply of the rural population, we together with our local partners install a simple but reliable filtration technology and an appropriate storage and pipe system. This also relieves the burden on the environment. © Global Nature Fund (GNF) Lakes without Limits
This Europe-wide project promotes the integration of people with disabilities and enhances sensitivity to nature. We want to give meaningful impulses for the experience of nature for people with disabilities. The first meeting of the project partners took place at Lake Constance. © Fundación Global Nature (FGN) #LivingLakes2019
The value of lakes and wetlands is immeasurable, be it as a water and food resource, as a carbon reservoir or as a habitat for impressive biodiversity. With #livinglakes2019 in the scope of the Living Lakes Conference 2019, people around the world show their favorite lake and the diversity of these ecosystems worth protecting. Join in and share pictures of waters on all social media channels!
