Canada’s third largest freshwater lake is in serious trouble. Nutrients and pesticides in agricultural run-off and sewage discharges threaten Lake Winnipeg’s future by stimulating large amounts of blue-green algae that imbalance the lake’s food web and can be toxic to humans.

Mangrove Restoration in Asia

In conjunction with four project partners over 100 hectares of the degraded mangrove forests will be reforested in India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Thailand. The necessary mangroves will be grown in tree nurseries and so-called “household gardens”.

Master Plan for the Lower Jordan Valley
