Umweltbundesamt (UBA)

 

The Federal Environment Agency has been Germany’s central environmental agency since its founding in 1974. The agency is entrusted with working on a variety of thematic issues under the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). 

 

With the motto “For Our Environment”, the UBA pursues the following goals:

  • To protect and maintain natural resources, also as an act of responsibility towards future generations.
  • To advance sustainable development.
  • To promote environmental protection as a matter of course in the thinking and action of everybody.

 

The following projects of the Global Nature Fund are supported by the German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
