Erbacher-Stiftung (Erbacher Foundation)

Since its creation in 1989, the Erbacher Foundation has supported development aid projects in rural areas worldwide, thus contributing to improve the living conditions for rural people. The focus of the supported activities is on:

  • Projects improving food security, sustainable livestock husbandry and crop farming
  • Projects promoting environmental and climate protection, and projects providing and protecting access to the natural resources of water, soil and air
  • Projects providing the necessary infrastructure, access to markets or necessary know-how
  • Programmes dealing with international exchange, learning, and awareness-raising.

Since August 2012, the Erbacher Foundation has supported the project “Strengthening the park management and development of sustainable tourism in the Lake Hovsgol National Park in Mongolia”, which is carried out by GNF, in cooperation with its local partner Mongol Ecology Center (MEC).
