SEKISUI CHEMICAL is a global company, established in 1947 in Japan. In 1962 the first Sekisui-company in Europe started its activities. Currently Sekisui Chemical group employs over 22,200 people worldwide. From the beginning, the company has aimed at delivering a wide range of products and services to improve the lives of people as well as social infrastructures around the world. Sekisui provides products to various markets such as Pipeline Rehabilitation, Electronics, Information Technology (such as LCD materials), Functional Materials, Medical, Automotive, and Chemicals. Sekisui’s mission is to provide modern technology while adhering to the highest standards of corporate responsibility.

 

Aiming at enlarging its engagement for nature and environment, Sekisui started a cooperation with Global Nature Fund in 2012. A central aspect of the partnership is the implementation of so called biodiversity checks with companies of the Sekisui Group. The measures are part of GNF’s European Business and Biodiversity Campaign. The objective of the collaboration is to increase the efficiency of environmental measures in the companies and incorporate biological diversity criteria into the environmental & quality strategy of Sekisui-companies in Europe.

Sekisui European Children´s ECO Summit 2015

 

In September 2015, the Sekisui European Children´s ECO Summit 2015 took place at Lake Constance, Germany. The young awardees of the company-internal photo contest, their parents as well as board members and the President of the enterprise planted willow cuttings at the River Radolfzeller Aach to maintain the habitat for the European beaver.
