Ecological land use is a goal of the  fashion store C&A. Therefore C & A is promoting the cultivation of organic cotton in countries such as Turkey and India.

In the frame of the initiative “We C&Are“, the enterprise describes in detail its environmental strategy in areas such as organic cotton, packaging and recycling, renewable energies, as well as transport and logistics.

Also the partner organisations of the GNF advocate  sustainable land use  around lakes and wetlands within the frame of the network “Living Lakes”. C&A supports concrete projects of the network.

Planting activities in the frame of centenary celebration

In autumn 2011, the fashion house C&A has donated 100 trees that were planted in alluvial forests along the German rivers Neckar, Nahe, Lippe, Weser and Elbe. Also at the Radolfzell Aach, a tributary to Lake Constance, native trees were planted with the support of staffs of the Global Nature Fund and the Deutsche Umwelthilfe (German Environmental Aid).
