Coordination

 

The applicant and main coordinator of the project is Global Nature Fund (GNF), an international non-governmental and non-profit organisation, registered in Berlin, Germany. A principal task of the foundation GNF is to further and promote sustainable development objectives at international level. GNF’s approach is to support NGOs worldwide and cooperate with all relevant stakeholders involved in water and nature conservation issues.

In 1998 GNF has launched Living Lakes, a worldwide lake partnership comprising in 2006 more than 50 organisations and institutions from 45 lake regions striving for the protection and sustainable development of lakes and wetlands.
