In cooperation with the Japanese foundation ILEC, the International Environment Technology Centre UNEP-IETC, LakeNet and other organisations Living Lakes and GNF took part in the elaboration of the World Lake Vision. The World Lake Vision is an important call for sustainable use of lakes and underlines the great importance of lakes for man and ecosystems. Seven guiding principles are being defined to identify central problems at lakes and develop practical solutions.
