Middle East Initiative to save the Dead Sea

The water level of the Dead Sea is diminishing drastically. GNF together with the Living Lakes partner Friends of the Earth Middle East (FoEME) organised two conferences in the year 2002, to discuss new possibilities and methods to conserve the Dead Sea. The proceedings of the conference include contributions to the controversially discussed proposition to construct a channel from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea in order to stop the loss of water.

You can download the conference proceedings here.
