Cooperations

The visions of the Global Nature Fund are embedded in international conventions. Conventions can only be enforced via pressure from private organisations. The most efffective strategy of the GNF for strict implementation is to emphasise the positive aspects and to support the development of sustainable and transferable models. That is to offer financing and to promote cooperation with industries, authorities and international organisations. GNF co-operates closely with the secretariats of the "Bonn Convention" and the "Ramsar Convention".

The Global Nature Fund is member of the following organisations:

- Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen (Central Administration of German Foundations)

- Future e.V.

Business Partners and Supporters

From its very beginning, Global Nature Fund has been seeking an alliance with businesses. It has been supported by Deutsche Lufthansa AG (in the field of mobility) Daimler AG (mobility and environmental monitoring), Ziemann (Brewage Technologies), EthikBank and GLS Bank (Banking Business).

The Sika AG, headquartered in Switzerland, is a market leader in processing materials and supports Living Lakes since 2005. In the frame of our Post Tsunami Project in Sri Lanka, the Serendib Foundation supports the reforestation of mangroves in the Living Lakes regions. At Lake Baikal, the Anton & Petra Ehrmann Foundation sponsors the integration of young persons in the conservation of the heritage in the Baguzin River Valley. In the field of communication we collaborate with T-Mobile. Media partner is the environmental magazine natur & kosmos. 

Apart from supporters from the business sector, the German Federal Foundation for Environment (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt), the Ministry of Environment as well as the Federal Nature Conservation Agency (Bundesamt für Naturschutz) and the European Union back GNF projects. The Global Nature Fund has also good contacts at regional level, for instance to the City of Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance.
